Every year I go through a knitting phase and this year, I wanted to use up this leftover multicoloured pink yarn from a previous finished project to make a pink sweater vest.
Before I kick on with this post, apologies for last week’s lack of posts. I fell very ill after receiving my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and had to take some time off to recover but the good news is that I’m back in full swing and excited to be blogging again.
It was the crazy storms of Sydney last month that inspired my knitting adventures this time round.
I’m very much a newbie knitter and have only followed simple patterns to make simple bottom up sweaters.
This is the sweater I made following a simple pattern designed for this particular multicoloured pink yarn.
I had a decent amount of leftover yarn so I decided to try making a top down sweater vest.
I’m very happy with how my pink sweater vest turned out and feeling chuffed about learning how to knit top down.
If you’d like to know how I made this pink sweater vest, stay tuned as I’ll be making a post about this in the future.
For now, I’ve put together 9 different outfit ideas on how you can style a cropped sweater vest.
I love wearing vests as they keep you warm while allowing your arms to be free to wail around as you wish.
Like a wacky waving inflatable tube man.
Vests also allow you to get away with not wearing a bra, which may be one of the best feelings in the world.
I think vest are all about protection. You know what I man?
Like a life vest protects you from drowning and a bullet-proof vest protects you from getting shot and a sweater vest protects you from pretty girls.

If you didn’t notice, I also made Winnie an ugly sweater vest.
I thought I might be crazy trying to find 9 different ways to style this pink sweater vest.
But turns out I was wrong.
- Rest your eyes
- Take a deep breath…inhale peace & exhale happiness
- Make a small wish for someone you love
- Get up & stretch your legs
- Hydrate & energise
- Set an intention to live your best life

I love wearing vests so much that I could keep on going well beyond 9 different combinations.
Because as it turns out, sweater vests go amazingly well with turtlenecks.
And I also love wearing turtlenecks.
But I won’t bore you with my turtleneck collection…okay maybe just one more.
I hope you enjoyed this silly post about my handmade knitted pink sweater vest. It’s a bit of a dorky item but I personally love it.
Stay tuned if you’d like to know how I made it.
