This lovely cowl neck red silk camisole is from LilySilk and it’s the most beautiful deep shade of romantic red that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day.

The colour is called “claret” and I got it in size XS (see FAQ for my measurements for reference).

The colour looks so good that I even got the matching skirt.

Red is a boldly fierce colour and can be very difficult to match with other colours without looking too loud.

It’s definitely a statement colour and the piece in the outfit that’s going to pop, so it pairs nicely with neutrals such as white, black, camel and beige.

Silk has a very unique and beautiful texture that’s fun to pair with other textures such as pleats, ruffles, rouching and ribbons. Try pairing your red silk cami with different textured materials.

Add a belt when breaking up colours for a better transition and more put together look.

Red pairs ridiculously well with black leather. White, nude and grey leather would all work well too.

This deep red silk cami also pairs well with deep denim and darker colours. With the look below, you can easily transition from a day outfit to an evening outfit by changing into a strappy pair of stilettos.

Silk camis are stunning when paired with wide leg trousers and a pointed toe. This is a fail-proof outfit and the only consideration you‘ll need to make is the colour combination.

As the ultimate romantic colour, you should really consider wearing red for this ultimate romantic occasion.

It pairs beautifully with other classic feminine pieces such as a pencil skirt, waist belt and high heels.

If you feel the need to cover up a bit, you can always layer over a long cardigan and slip on some knee high boots.

Of course, don’t forget your favourite red lippy. The one I’m wearing is Stila Stay All Day liquid lipstick in Fiery.

I hope you’ve been inspired to try wearing a bold red silk camisole.

Whatever your plans are for Valentine’s Day, I hope you all have a very special day filled with love and joy. x
